THE EFFECTIVENESS OF YOUR RESEARCH (CONTEXRUAL, AUDIENCE AND PRODUCTION)
The effect on my research was quite big because from researching a lot so that I could be able to understand the content (colourism) myself, it included a lot of other points; such as racism, discrimination, shadism, black history, and others, which ended up not even being useful for my final project. I believe that with my final project, the way I have done it, is really going to meet with my targeted audience, which is teenagers and young adults from the age of 15- 25. that's because it is the ages that are more exposed to be affected by colourism and skin bleaching which can still be changed and seen in another way. I am really happy that I came up with the idea of working in a documentary based on colourism because that made me learn a lot and love even more my skin colour which is what I was born with, I have shown my documentary to people, most of them friends and they do believe it is a good beginning on making teenagers with a darker skin tone love themselves the way they are and stop trying to fit in with the media; that has encouraged me to be more confident with my final piece. The pre-production helped me a lot to do my work & resources properly, and help me have set time with completing all my work, because it listed out step by step of things I need to complete, and what I've completed and then I can evaluate how much time I've used for what each specific areas, and therefore, if I need to adjust my work pace or my time limit on each area. It also allows me to having everything I need in one area, and ensure its all in order and whether if I need it, I can come back and fourth to it easily.
During my production Research I firstly searched and listed all the equipment that I would need for my fmp and that helped me during production because I didn't have to waste much time later on thinking on how to organise my stuff and over do it; unfortunately I couldn't use the microphone which I had listed in my equipment needed. Also I have mentioned in my production research that I would think about a nice location and a smart and casual costume for my characters which I happily met with it. I used a camera 50mm lenses because I seem to be more familiarised with those lenses, it is easier for me to find the right camera setting. One of the problems that I had was having to wait longer for a DSLR camera to be available because it has a better quality and image than the Sony bridge which I dislike, Due to that, I had to postpone the date of filming many days, it was something that I couldn't predict.
The location for one of my footages ended up taking place in the science department, I chose it to be in a science classroom which would make the image more professional, we had problem to find a room because majority of them was occurring lessons in which we couldn't disturb. I have also booked the better time for me and the science teacher to meet, fortunately our schedules meet and which made it way easier to be done (https://letcia1.blogspot.com/2019/06/blog-post_3.html)
I also went around looking for places where I could buy the product of skin bleaching in shops such as Paks, The Savanna and others, I obviously went to Indian and African shops because those are the races that mostly use the product and would probably sell it; it ends up that the chemicals on it are illegal for use so none of the shops I went sells the product. I had to go around college to find anyone who would have the product since I was confident that a lot of my colleagues from college, one of my class mates handed it to me which I could use for empower my documentary.

HOW YOUR PRODUCTS COMPARES TO YOUR CASE STIUDIES
My final product came out a little bit different from my case studies because one of my aims was to have a documentary with a duration of 5-8 minutes long, and ended up with 4 minutes long, which is still not bad but did not meet my expectations. The scrip wasn't followed because at the beginning I was more focussed in making of the documentary a debate based; but changed my mind and left it in part 2. The questions I prepared were really useful because with that I used it to question my character, which actually came out with some really good points. for a 'part 1' I did not want to make it too long after I thought a lot about it, and I reckoned my target audience would get bored if the documentary just kept on going. I put kind of a trailer at the end of my documentary, which would be part 2; that was my first attempt to my second idea which came out a bit too long, obviously; I had two cameras, one of them in the tripod facing my characters from sideways and the other in my hands which was a bit shaky.
I used for the trailer the footage that I made in the camera that was getting everyone's reaction which build up tension together with the soundtrack I had. this obviously makes it a lot more interesting and engaging for the viewers to watch 'part 2' since the ones on camera are all teenagers and look a lot passionate to talk about the content and express themselves sharing opinion and thoughts with each other.
My first case studies research was a documentary about dark-skinned models who for the fact that their skin tone is darker, went through a lot of trouble and how colourism/ racism has affected their career but still, they overcame this problem and won against racism. That was one of he first documentary I wanted to focus on because I really liked it from beginning to end and me as a teenager, I never got bored watching it, so I wanted something similar to fit with my target audience. I did achieve some of my aims comparing to that other documentary which is linked in my case studies. I was able to get some nice shots based on that same documentary, get the body language of the people that I have interviewed using a mid-shot unfortunately I couldn't have a voice over and other footage for my documentary, I have said in my case studies that I wished to have voice overs. On the second research case studies I got a video that had only one camera angle and a long shot, which had a few cuts; however, there were some after effects that I planned to use in my fmp but unfortunately, the way that it was structured I wasn't able to add any after effects nor had time to make more research on how to use Adobe After Effects.
And finally, for the last video that I have analysed is a BBC Stories documentary about skin bleaching, I mentioned statistics and expert opinion, which I am really happy that I was able to meet this aim I had, with the help of Adriano from the science department.
HOW YOUR TECHNICAL SKILLS HAVE DEVELOPED
Comparing to my last two projects from this year, I can see it myself that my skills with the camera has developed a lot, which made me really proud of myself, I am more confident with the camera settings, with choosing the location lighting, camera position and angles. I've also learnt a lot with how the camera angles has to be when filming certain types of moving images, such as documentaries, debates, shows, surveys etc. Since my footage had some things to adjust I also improved my skills with Adobe Audition which made my documentary a lot more audible even with the background noise. I used youtube videos such as https://youtu.be/FraXKMyDjAU to help me learn how to play with it. It was a bit challenging at the beginning but then I got a clue of what to do.
Pre-Production has made me do a lot such as teaching myself how to use the right angle on a camera for a documentary, I had to do a lot of research and comparisons on what a documentary contains. I done a lot of practice outside college so that I could help myself to become a better cameraman. As post-production, I feel like I have improved even more my editing skills, I was able to add other footage and the transitions for both audio and video, I overcame my struggles with Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe Audition, which I very much like since I spent more time focussing on learning more about the software from my last documentary. The last thing is I've struggled a little bit to find a background song that fits with my documentary but after a lot of time looking for it I found the one that I liked.
My blogging has also improved, because I have made everything more organised and easier to find what I need to find, I can now look for stuff with its adequate title. Also, with it on blogger, it is well stored and I can access it anywhere anytime as long as I have network available, it is a very accessible website for us to use.

AUDIENCE RESPONSES TO YOUR FINAL PRODUCT
I have showed my final project to some of my friends and 90.9% believes it is appealing for teenagers, the 9.1% says that not many teenagers would be interested in the content that I have chosen, meaning that if I aimed my target audience to be teenagers I should think of something more appealing for teenagers. 90.9% agrees that it is educational, which was one of my aims, 9.1% disagrees and without a reason why.
92.9% of my viewers says that hey are definitely interested in watching part 2', only 7.1% is not interested, its a good thing for me for the fact that the ones interested in part 2 are the majority.
My least but not last question is if the message behind my documentary is clear; I got as answer 81.8% positive and 18.2% negative. After reflecting, I believe I should get more teenagers to open up their opinion and knowledge about the content.
Finally, getting to my last question; "What do you think about cinematography", I thought well before sending these questions, I made sure that I would explain to everyone that is not familiar with the word, what it means. I got 8 responses as shown in the screenshot on the left side. Some say I should ass music to mute out the background "but good shots", well I did try adding music at the background but it would disturb and confuse the audience from what is being said.
other appreciate the camera angles and lighting, when others think the shots are shaky, I will try my best for my next moving image project to have perfect shots and stable tripod.
As qualitative data: I have already uploaded on blogger ( https://youtu.be/tBCtX41Zpcc )
My focus group feedback which I've done with Rozina and some other people from other classes which we got along really well, my focus group responses, where I got feedback from my group. Unfortunately, the camera used to film came out with no sound due to technical issues, but the feedback I can remember of is that I should do something about the shaky camera that made them a bit confused. I ended up not finish editing my trailer, and changed it to the end and came up with the expert opinion from the science teacher. If compared you can see that I have changed and used the camera on a tripod and used it to make the camera stable.

My product is firstly published on YouTube which is one of the largest publishing websites in the world, this is a great way of spreading to the worldwide and get people to interact with the documentary. I thought about it and there are other various platforms where my product could be published, such as; online- interaction, as benefit it would bring to me access to social support when needed, the viewers interested share it and its viewers share too. social media, Instagram, twitter and Facebook are social media that are recently very used by our community, people spend over 6 hours using their phones daily and most of the time using their social media, this would also be a way of interacting with my product and reach a wider range of audience specially teenagers. TV-Channels, channels such as BBC, ITV, Channel4 and among others, I would choose these as last options because not many teenagers nowadays pay attention on the TV, but if that was the case I will have to negotiate with the company and find a way to get my product promoted which I would have to plan a budget. If I was to chose I will almost certainly chose ITV because it has shows and entertainments that during this summer time, my targeted audience make time to watch, one of the shows I'm talking about is 'Love Island' it is has been proved that the audience that most watches it is between the ages of 16-34 years old which is within my targeted audience. With the caption of " TV2's smash hit Love Island is helping the channel buck the wider decline in younger viewers, with the number of 16- to 34-year-olds watching increasing by 86% year on year."

- These websites helped me a lot to find how colourism became a major problem, when it began, how it became a form of internalized racism, how it has had consequences for ethnic groups around the world.
